Hi CT64,
As in life or like when one is white-water rafting down a raging river, the inconveniences are like rocks in the middle of a river - you just navigate around them - also, over time, those rocks get worn down by the water.

Sweet Corn - for an ex-Viking you show a remarkably sublte side, rare on this forum. Speaking of Vikings, I've not seen a post from our illustrious and highly talented lensherre for ages and ages. I do hope Frederik Magle is in good health!!??
Hi CT64,
Ex-Viking? Not in the least. Ex-Swedish National might be more appropriate. Think of it this way dear sir: You can take a boy out of the Country but you can't take the Country out of the boy. It is my understanding that Our Dear Sir Frederik is very busy with his composing and other musical projects. Genius knows no time barriers, so when the creative muse decides to let Sir Frederik have a little *time off*, we will most assuredly see his presence on MIMF.
Cheers,

I hope he is happy. An article in my newspaper today said that a survey had been done, and it was found that the Danes are the happiest nation.

They're happy are they? Interesting ...
I found this forum through google....I was looking for some darker pieces to listen to but didn't know where to start. Great thing about google or any search engine is that you can ask it a question and voila there it is lol...and so I finally listen to Shostakovich's Symphony No.5 lol
i love this piece of music. particularly the third movement.
I like many others here have Google to thank. My musical tatses are fairly wide, from Baroque to Jazz, organs to guitars, so I can find something of interest in most of the threads. Also like the jokes and funny pics!
Cheers MIKE
How did I find this forum? I "Googled" pipe organ forums, and this came up. I dare say most of the subscribers did something similar. I "joined" because I thought it would be interesting to see all the points of view - and it IS!!
It's interesting to note all the accolades for this forum community. It's well noted by those of us who spend lots of time working in the background here keeping this place humming like a Danish watch.
On behalf of your forum staff, we are very thankful to each and everyone of you who have become valued members here at MIMF.
