Five years ago today, we lost a metal legend who called himself Quorthon. The mastermind of black metal band Bathory, he influenced everything to come after and should be remembered for the depth he gave to these genres.
Remembering a metal legend
It's a good time to haul out those old Bathory CDs. Specifically The Return and Hammerheart (if you ask me, which you didn't).
I do really think that Quarthone was a great man..and he really did a good influence on metal music..he must be remembered! he is a man to be respected...and I like Bathory
Hammerheart and Twilight of the Gods for me! Amazing legend. Definitely missed.
