Rush Limbaugh - Traitor or Just a Little Baby?

As I heard the news this morning that Rush Limbaugh has used his spot on the airwaves to ask the right-wingers to boycott Chrysler and GM, saying outright that by doing that he could defeat President Obama's stimulus package. Of course, he says that he has "nothing against" the employees of GM, they just won't be making any money and finally lose the rest of what they so desparately cling to.

He is so pissed that Obama won the presidency and he is ranting and having a tantrum like a little child. He does not think right-wingers should support the president in any way.

Not that I would direct anyone to actually give credence to this piece of scum by reading his spew of hatred, but when I looked at http://www.RushLimbaugh.com
I saw that at the top of the page in big letters, "Our First Priority Should Be To Ensure The Failure of Obama's Health Plan."

Forget being a patriot, this man is bordering on treason and I hope that in the end he gets just what he deserves; a nice bunk bed in Gitmo with some of Osama's friends.

Of course the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech but when it endorses treason, I believe that is a capital offense. Maybe those abused prescription drugs have fried his brain.

Boy, corruption just doesn't want to go quietly into the night, does it?

Like most commentators, Limbaugh is one of those cases where the 'reactor' is saying as much about him/herself as about Limbaugh. Would you rather have Sam Donaldson? Everyone is entitled to his/her point of view. It has been said that it's useless, with most people, to argue politics or religion, so no one changes many minds.

I do not recall ever having listened to Limbaugh. I sometimes wonder why other people do -- so they can tear him down???

I have never listened to Rush either. However, Fox News and CNN have been reporting on his diatribes. If I interpret your post correctly, you are attempting to "slam" me. That's fine, you're entitled. My ONLY point in my post was that at what point does "entertainment" become treason?

To OPENLY call for the failure of the US president and his policies doesn't seem quite right to me. You don't have to like him or have voted for him, but he IS the president. He is (so far) doing a very good job. He should at least be given the chance to enact his vision. I would imagine the US citizens will be better off as a result.

If your comment was just meant in a generic way, I apologize. I actually do play well with others.

I don't know about failure, but I certainly didn't vote for him, either. Whether or not what he's doing will work out, only time will tell. I don't entirely buy the notion that he is going to socialism - my understanding is that all this buying into companies can eventually be sold - but whether or not that's what he has in mind, again, only time will tell. And he won't be president forever - nobody has done that yet.

Well, you're right that he won't be president forever. I have to admit that I am intrigued by his ambition. I also don't think that he wants to take the country the socialism route. I believe he is trying for fair and allowing the populous the options of choosing for themselves, only offering a few more choices. I know that if they cut the fraud out of medicare and medicaid, they would more than have enough money to offer a plan to everyone.

I have sent a message to the White House indicating the fraud that I personally experienced with medicare providers in Florida. I reported several hundred thousand dollars of fraud in my account and I'm only one person. If you take people with chronic conditions and transplant patients, which seem to be the easiest targets to exploit, and charge for treatments that they never got or treat them with fake drugs, etc., etc...there is just something so wrong with that system.

When I reported the fraud to medicare they asked the provider to pay back the money (yeah, right) but when the charges continued month after month and the medicare system paid them anyway, after I had reported the fraud over and over, I finally gave up in despair.

Now, imagine the seniors who don't know what type of treatments they are getting or don't understand their statements. These bogus charges just keep getting paid and fat cats are getting fatter while sick people are exploited and not cared for properly.

It's a mess.

In my book, this guy is an over-indulged drug addled big mouth with a healthy dose of racism--lest we forget his short lived career at MNF--thrown in. And yes, even though I believe he has the right to free speech as an American citizen, I also believe that his openly and proudly calling for his own-- whether he voted for him or not--President and by extension country to fail is indeed treasonous. He is lucky that the people currently in power don't apply to him the same sanctions as he and his ilk would advocate being brought against someone on the left expressing the same sentiments against President Bush or Reagan, whom I'm sure are two of his favorite enduring heroes.

Yes indeed it is Teddy, and by a lot of the wrong kinds of people having access to not only "regular" weapons, but also--up to and including--military grade ones and "cop killing ammo". Isn't the NRA wonderful? And guys like Rush Limbaugh and G. Gordon Liddy [he of Watergate fame/infamy] are right at the head of the line encouraging people to have weapons and not cooperate with their government. Fantastic arrangement,what. p.s. Both of them are very well off financially, thank you.

I guess conservative means something different to Americans than it does to us. Over here think - Margaret Thatcher - as a prime example. I have to admit that \I do not give politics outside the UK the attention I should. I suppose we we enough idiots and gold diggers here without looking for any more. Since I started voting, and taking a real interest in British politics I have seen so much change, and usually for the worse that I am getting disillusioned. Maybe I will stand as an MP. Every government should have a teddy. (Of course, I may be biased).
