    I agree Amie.

I hope folks will indulge me...

It is now official; Michael Jackson was killed:

"Pop star Michael Jackson's death has been ruled a homicide by the L.A. County coroner.

According to the official coroner's report, details of which were released Friday, Jackson's death is being attributed to "acute propofol intoxication."

Friday's report confirms that lethal levels of the powerful anesthetic were found in Jackson's blood, as per information revealed earlier this week."

This is very, very hard to take. Michael would have been celebrating his 51st birthday today.

On a somewhat happier note, here is MJ rehearsing for This Is It.

    Beautiful voice... and so graceful.

I have mixed feelings about the upcoming movie based on footage from the rehearsals, due out in theatres Oct. 28th. But of course, I simply must go. The official trailer is out as well.

    Robin,

If you haven't seen This Is It yet, I would STRONGLY recommend that you do (as if a cyclone could keep you away). I saw it online today and could not stop thinking about how much it would move you. That truly would have been one wonderfully fantastic concert event. He even performed with Bogart...that's all I'll say. But in watching, anyone with a pulse will get a sense of the majesty and marvel that was his entertaining genius. I was more than impressed.

    It's all for love... L.O.V.E.

    Hi Stephen

Of course I've already seen it; I was at the Cineplex Banque Scotia downtown on Ste. Catherine Street for the premiere, on Tues. night at midnight. I'll probably be going again too, just not sure when yet.

The film is doing extremely well (no surprise to me); fans, non-fans and official reviewers everywhere (even crabby ones ) are giving it a resounding

Stephen, what are you doing watching this on a tiny computer screen? You really should go out to the cinema and see MJ on the big screen. If you want company, shoot me a PM.

I hope justice is forthcoming; for MJ, his mother, and his children...

Btw, this was a very difficult decision for me to make; whether to go or not. Fans are between a rock and a hard place, not knowing for sure what really happened, yet wanting to see MJ one last time... very cruel.

    Hi Robin,

I actually watched it on our huge plasma monitor in the bedroom. Not quite 70mm or IMAX but 55" still makes for a good viewing experience. And right now I'm not all that comfortable in being in large crowds that may be harbouring H1N1.

I should have known that you would have been at the premiere.

As for whether to go or not, what are you referring to? The re-burial? It would be a big expense to see only a casket; it's not like you'd actually get to see Michael. Or if something else is going on, please enlighten me.

I was so impressed in the movie about the way the producers/directors interacted with him. It was also a little eerie, knowing now what was the end result. I'm sure there will be justice when all is said and done.

    Ah, I see.

No, I wouldn't go to see where he's buried, or Neverland or anything like that. What 're-burial' are you talking about though? I just meant whether or not to go to the movie.

I still have a lot of difficulty believing that a doctor could be so incredibly stupid. Until there are some actual facts (other than the ones concerning the doctor's horrendous actions that we already know,) and until what happened is explained in a way that makes some sense, I can't help but be suspicious of people connected with MJ. That includes some of the people that were involved with the movie. There are a lot of interesting connections behind the scenes.

I guess my desire to have MJ back for a couple hours won out over my suspicions. At the moment, that is all they are. If there is one thing I have learned from being a supporter of MJ is that one should not jump to conclusions; one should stick to the facts. I will continue to wait for facts, and I hope we get them.

In the meantime, I will enjoy MJ and his awesomeness, even though it's painful. It really is a wonderful film.

I saw something on the news about two weeks ago that said that Michael was being "re-buried" in a couple of weeks. I don't know if maybe they built a special mausoleum for him but I didn't quite understand it myself. It was on CBC and they said that this would be the last chance for his fans to pay their respects as I believe the burial that took place was attended by family only.

I agree that it's hard to understand how the doctor had his head where there was no sun. All of those medications that end with "pam" are anxiety drugs and muscle relaxers. To add anesthetic on top of that? I think my cats know that would make you stop breathing and that you would need to be ventilated. AND this jackass doctor did CPR on a bed? I yell at the tv when I see things like that on shows because it just isn't done. And this jerk DID IT? He'll answer for that, to be sure.

    Hi Stephen,

That's odd; I haven't heard anything about that.

The doctor had no resuscitation equipment, which is absurd not to have when using Propofol. Propofol is only for use in a hospital. And it is not something used to treat insomnia.

After discovering MJ not breathing, he made three calls totaling 47 minutes before calling 911.

A cardiologist that doesn't know how to give proper CPR?

Meh, maybe he really is that stupid.

it's hard to understand how the doctor had his head where there was no sun.

I was sooo angry before, when I learned of what the doctor did/didn't do. But it's impossible to stay at a burning hot level of anger for months. Now I simply simmer, wait and watch. I do have an occasional outburst though.

It must be unbearable for his mother and children. I feel awful for them.

MJ still had a lot left to do, and the world lost (imo) the greatest entertainer that ever lived. It's just way, way too sad.

Well... it's already amazing that he actually existed, and did the phenomenal body of work that he did. I'm very glad for that.

    Thanks Stephen.

Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/09/us/09jackson.html?hpw

Preliminary hearing is to take place April 5th.

The Medical Board appears to wish to have the doctor's license revoked.

    This is just the beginning.

    May justice be served.

Here is an interview with an anesthesiologist who discusses the levels of Propofol from the toxicology report. He states that the amount found in the body was perhaps 10 to 100 times as much as the 'doctor' says he gave.

Either Dr Murray is a liar, or there is some other explanation for this discrepancy...

    Tomorrow is the hearing.
