Smile Fuga Romana per un giorno migliore

    hello

This fugue follows the toccata romana vpx-132
Writting this fugue has been a challenge because the subject starts on degrees V, VI,VII,VIII, and that is a problem when the bass voice has to play it. The problem has been fixed using sustained chords (sus 4)

    FUGA (hi quality MP3)

And now there is also a video

I won't pretend I understand the technicalities of writing fugues, but you seem to have solved the problems admirably. The toccata and fugue together make a very rich and satisfying musical experience. I would love to hear it played live on one of your great French instruments! Perhaps one day...

Very fitting for the toccata which I enjoyed.. I really like the theme of the fugue which I can hear and feel rising and falling as it developes . It seems to flow well and I think one of your better compositions actually. Keep up the good work my friend. Bill

What a beautiful fuga ... and so deserving of the music to feature photos of in and around The Vatican and Rome itself.

Your works just keep getting better, Jean-Paul.
