This place is amazing! ..and hello!

I just found this place when I was looking up the composer for Smallville (Mark Snow...but I thought maybe it was several composers...isn't it usually?) Anyways, I've been into movie soundtracks and scores for a while. So I'm very excited that I found this forum.

Also, I was wondering if anyone can point me to the direction of less well known film composers? John Williams and Hans Zimmer are great (amazing actually) but are mainstream. Anyone know up and coming composers I can get into? Thanks.

Although not up and coming, one of my favorite film composers is Elliot Goldenthal, he may compose music for "mainstream" movies but his music is not "mainstream".

Oh he did Across the Universe? Awesome. Great stuff. He seems to work with Julie Taymor a lot. That's cool. Anyways, thanks for the heads up (will now look up his stuff on youtube. lol.
