hello there, I'm new...

my name is Richard. I live in England, near Manchester, and have been a musician since I was 8, when I started to learn the piano, then the organ at age 14 (after a brief time with the oboe which I gave up). Outside my day job, where I work in a music shop (selling sheet music, CDs, instruments), I am a freelance musician, playing for various churches and choral groups. My most recent trip was to Wells Cathedral, where I accompanied one of my regular choirs, the Orrishmere Singers, who were singing the services for the week. I am also very interested in film music and soundtracks. It's good to be joining a new community!
