It is indeed an opinion. And one that does not hold for me. I want music that moves me, that stirs emotions, be it happiness or sadness. And Gorecki scores very high on my emotional response scale. By the same argument (I want to enjoy music), Mahler's Kindertotanlieder would be dismissed as well.
