    Coded da Vincis

    The Da Vinci Code:

"The Knights Templar were warriors," Teabing reminded, the sound of his aluminum crutches echoing in this reverberant space.

Correct me if I'm wrong but “Remind” is a transitive verb – you need to remind someone of something. You can’t just remind. And if the crutches echo, we know the space is reverberant.

I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

^ Well spotted, and duly noted. lol

    Off-topic here (mostly):

Reminds me of the French terms 'joindre' and 'rejoindre'. Are they interchangeable? Possibly.

Here's another classic (from the same novel)

Five months ago, the kaleidoscope of power had been shaken, and Aringarosa was still reeling from the blow.

Um, had they hit him with the kaleidoscope?
