I've performed and sung in quite a few PDQ Bach pieces - it's actually rather well written stuff for parody and you've got to work to pull it off well. Very rewarding (and greatly amusing into the bargain). I've always fancied doing the bicycle part in the "Pervertimento" :-)

I love PDQ Bach's send up of the 1812 overture, complete with pop-guns and balloons being burst to simulate canon fire. I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants!!

In high school, we always referred (lovingly, of course) to a bassoon as the "farter" and me thinks Margaret hit the nail on the head with that vid. As I used to play both of those instruments, it absolutely cracks me up.

Stephen ... I agree and it's always totally amusing to laugh at that stupid tune especially when so beautifully rendered by a trio of "double-farters"
