Yes, there is certainly a Danny Elfman vibe there. Some of these guys also come from a band called Darth Vegas which is notably influenced by Elfman - www.mp3.com.au/DarthVegas

I totally agree with Tony Bray. Great sense of humour! However, I think I would go tired of it after a while...
It`s fun listening to and I like Libertango, but as Lotus80 already said, I probably also would get tired of it after a while. But it`s not the kind of music I usually listen to

So... you throw it into shuffle mode and get a taste of it mixed in with other things. Sticking to a single concept is almost what is demanded of anyone producing a CDs worth of music. I love to hear music that I have never listened to before. It inspires to fuse new elements into my own writing.

You are absolutely right. It´s a good idea to listen to all kind of music and I do that too, even though I`m not a composer. But naturally there are some genre of music I listen to more often
