    Mr Wolf's new improvisation on tube!

    Here is a new recording with Mr Wargh, in luleå cathedral.

    This is a impro on a finnish choral - Att prisa dig är underbart, in english some thing like this - To praise you is wonderful.

    First time I have heard him play. Very interesting compositi0on with many theme variations..not too sure about that running bass at 5:40 ish.. nice blues patteren however.. LIke the sound of the organ.great at 8o on. very full with good resonnace. Thanks

    As always, I am delighted to hear Mr Wargh play his improvs - certainly a gifted master of improvisation and a perfect performance.

    I thought this rather odd. Around 4' 10" the theme became lost - somewhat immured in dense figuration. There were many scales and other similar 'fills'. Certainly not in the same league as Cochereau. For an object lesson in variation form there are several recordings available (on the Solstice label) which show the genius of Pierre Cochereau in this medium.

    I think that I shall stick to Rinck's written variations on the same theme....
