Together they have recorded a superb debut album that draws on the roots of classic progressive rock to interpret it in a modern setting. Overall, the music can be described as a blend of Steely Dan and ELP, Gentle Giant and Echolyn (at reflective moments). There’s cohesion throughout ‘Lifeblood Psalm’ which flows smoothly from one track to the next. Elusive ingredients maintain a seductive atmosphere. All songs tend to build in character rather than just resorting to a lot of technical gymnastics. And let me close by saying that very important point is the voice of Geoffrey Langley. His distinctive timbre reminds about Freddie Mercury… :cool:

Merkel, de Grigny, Franck, Vierne and Durufle formed part of the programme, with improvisations making up the rest. The Duet Improvisations were unbelievable, whether from one organ stool or from two consoles, one at the east end, the other up in the organ loft in the west end. The lengthy, unwavering applause at the end would have left them in no doubt of the audience appreciation! Let me introduce you a "Guess the composer" game CQuiz, created by me:

You need to register first (large blue link on the first page).


You can play in one of the common modes (Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane) or choose any composers that you want for the quiz. For example, you can choose only Bach and Handel and try to guess. After each of your questions system will show you correct answer and information about the piece, that was played.


Easy mode includes 15 greatest composers, Normal mode adds 35 known composers and so on. You can change your mode from the Preferences tab.


Ratings makes competition interesting.
