Mit hjertes hjem – Slesvigske Musikkorps lecture concert in Sønderborg Castle

Mit hjertes hjem (The home of my heart) will be performed on March 18 at 19:00 with Slesviske Musikkorps

“Mit Hjertes Hjem” consists of 3 movements: a “Fanfare” with several hidden references to Southern Jutland and the theme from the Slesvigske Musikkorps’ signature march “Prince of Hessen”.

SMUK played for the 100th anniversary of the soldiers’ cemetery in the northern French town of Braine. Here lie 80 fallen South Jutlanders. For the occasion, the four South Jutland municipalities donated a special work that SMUK premiered – and it is this work that the audience will enjoy at the lecture concert, where World War I expert René Rasmussen will also talk about the battle on both the home front and the battlefield.
