Just looked up Cannonball Aderley Rendez Vous and found links to just about all the sax players you could want. Also several other interesting links and a list of musicians who do not have their own site, but should have. A project there for anyone who has some free time (or when I retire).

Paul Desmond, hands down, no one even close in my estimation!:tiphat: He has the most ethereal and heavenly :angel: sound I've ever heard from any other sax player--alto or otherwise--in my life.:clap:WK.

i like paul desmond, johnny hodges and cannonball adderley. i also like earl bostic, i think he is jazz. some would not agree with me though. gord

In my opinion Paul Desmond fits the bill, (with or without Brubeck);
however there may be controversy on this viewpoint.
John, I think you are spot on with your Desmond opinion!:cheers::clap:No controversy or disagreement will you detect from this life-long jazz fan.:grin:
