Some Voluntary scores to play with

Attached are 4 scores for Voluntaries by William Boyce, #7,#8,#9 and #10 originally downloaded as Finalé files from WIMA and converted to PDF.

I've been going through the full set of 10, adapting them to use on GrandOrgue, this last 4 look like being a bit more of a challenge, I'd be interested to hear one or more of them interpreted by some of our performers, maybe a bit of friendly competition, real or virtual organ or harpsichord?

Also be interested to know if anybody has heard or played any of them before, I will be attacking them over the next week or so and will probably post MP3s.

Look like delightful pieces to add to ones repertoire.
I've not heard any of these before, although I know of William Boyce.

I might give these a go on my church practice day next week.

I'v been posting MP3s of some of the other ones in the set on the GrandOrgue thread over the last couple of weeks in the electronic organ forum most with the scores in PDF, if you want to hear before you decide. ;) It is performed by the computer, I've just adapted Finalé scores to play the GrandOrgue VPO via Midi, all I've contributed is the registration.

As you say David hardly earth shattering, but then we do need the less spectacular but pleasant works as well for the restful and contemplative moments, at least I know I do.

That was lovely F&P, I haven't done IX or X yet. I do think these voluntaries from the 1700s sound best on a small organ, most were written for organ or harpsichord and most English organs then were small by present day standards.
