what is the best movie jazz soundtrack? i guess most fans would say bird which is very good, but there are many more good ones. lets hear your suggestions.i always liked the man with the golden arm. gord
At the risk of being a bore I will mention Play Misty for Me. Clikt Eastwoods love of jazz comes through. After all it was him that made that film about Bird wasn' it?
I find myself at a loss in this topic, because although I remember the films from way back, i dont remember the theme tunes, (except Casablanca, my favourite film).
Is there a list (say on Google) which gives this sort of info?
Perhaps then I could contribute to your thread.
Cheers John
Hi Gord
I have just realised that I have a Cd called "Jazz in Film" by a Terence Blanchard(Trumpet) group.
I'll give you more details if you are interested
Does anyone know if the original film soundtack is available for Porgy & Bess? It must be the most cover track of all time but I would like tohear the original.
Miles' soundtrack to the movie Ascenseur pour l'échafaud is a real gem. Part of it popped up on the ipod today while I was walking and it was the perfect soundtrack for an overcast winter's day.
