Hear hear CD, I agree, it is a shame some members leave us. Still we always seem to attract new members allowing this wonderful place to evolve.

Most Honorable and Blessed GrandDame Margaret,

WOW! You are spot-on with your prescient analysis of *allowing this wonderful place to evolve*. I could not have said it better myself.

    Always at your service,

Thank you CD, I am surely evolving here.

Poor Colin's nose looks a bit sunburnt Mike.

    Cheers MIKE.

    Port? Did someone say Port???

Now, Colin's avatar *honker* is a byproduct of an un-named Jamaican Rum that will curl the hair in your armpits and on your chest

Blessed GrandDame Margaret - I believe we all on MIMF evolve with every new member who shares just a little something...

Personally I prefer mead, or occasionally some real country wines like these

    http://www.lymebaywinery.co.uk/pages/country_wines.php

Or look elsewhere on that site for apple brandy and some evil liqueurs.

Some really deserve the appellation Vino Collapso (slurp .......... hic, to abshent fwends)
    Cheers MIKE.

Here in Russia there is *Kvass* which is essentially liquid *brewed bread* - @ 1.5% alcohol volume - You don't even get a *buzz* but the stuff is great with just about anything.

The mead is 14.5% so I usually make a 75cl bottle last a week or so. Problem is though that the nearest stockists are about 8 -10 miles away so I get a month's supply each time.
    Cheers MIKE.

I haven't had mead for a long time. My hubby and I went to a medieval banquet some years ago and they served mead.

Sounds fun Margaret. They used to hold these events at Chilham Castle (before it was sold to the latest owner) along with jousting and falconry. But I doubt the mead was as strong as Mikes.

It was a good evening, I can't remember what place it was held in. Not far from London I know that much.
