Driving songs

Long instrumental jazz pieces like "Search for the New Land" by Lee Morgan; "The Chess Players" and " Pingpong" by Wayne Shorter, and of course " Traveling Man" by the Allmans for those somewhat longer trips, with some " Mountain Jam" thrown in for good measure. :guitar::clap::guitar:

How about "Dreams" and "Pegasus" by the Allmans and "Aja" by Steely Dan?

Baroque Trumpet Music and 8 Symphonies by William Boyce are my go to music at the moment. For very long trips I listen to them over and over and over and over....

Hi Colin; when I use the term repetition in the context of Bolero it is in no way meant in a disparaging manner. Rather, it is a fruitful and productive--as opposed to boring--motif which builds to one of the greatest cresondoes and climaxes in musical history, at least in my humble opinion. :scold:

Thankfully I don't have to sit in Moscow trafficjams which make LA's look like a romp in the park so, in the Metro(subway) I listen to JSBach Cantatas.

It depends on the nature of the drive for me. If I'm going to or from work, I tend to choose stuff that's similar to the dynamic of the trip if possible. Standard fare usually includes stuff like:
Mike Oldfield - Crises, Taurus II, The Wind Chimes
Steve Reich - Electric Counterpoint
Terry Riley - Rainbow In Curved Air
Tangerine Dream - Rubycon
Sky - Where Opposites Meet, FIFO
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene, Equinoxe, Oxygene 7-13, Aero
