You got that right Mike I never thought I would have to take a car to a dealer for servicing etc but the technology left me miles behind. And you didn't need a few thousand quidsworth of computer to keep it running.
What a coincidence..... its half way through November down here as well, I will celebrate by going to Golf this afternoon :grin:I'm going to avoid this argument, today, by going for a long distance bike-hike.
It's half way through November, here in the Niagara Peninsula,
John we are so small and insignificant we hope countries will not notice and leave us alone. the tale goes that original settlers of NZ were Moriori (this is not accepted by every one) who made home on the Chatham Isle then the Maori arrived and just about annihilated them, the Europeans came later we now have a lot of Chinese, Korean people etc and I personally have no problem with them as they are educated and hard working so long as they leave any baggage behind them and accept our way of life.
Here endith the first lesson
PS The Golf was good.
Oooh- cycling. We'll have to have a digression about cycling sometime. It's not unknown for me to talk about a little cycling of my own... see here, for example.I'm going to avoid this argument, today, by going for a long distance bike-hike.
I don't indulge in the conceit that I'm somehow "saving the planet" with my bicycle-trips.
We have just had a very minor eruption from Mt Tongariro (more to follow I am sure) this would have more effects on global warming than the population of NZ could achieve in a lifetime so to hell with Bikes and zero emissions only science will help us. amen
We are relatively safe (famous last words) do you believe there are idiots trying to climb it, it is on an orange alert but who knows ??Hope you are keeping well away from it Colin. I would hate to think of you covered in lava.
