Business as usual, the E U make some stupid rules, England does as it's told while all the other EU countries continue to do exactly what THEY want, not what the E U says.

With the latest technology Coal burning can be achieved relatively cleanly and considering the amount still underground in a lot of countries should IMO be used, we also export the majority of our coal to China as if in some way that makes it easier for the blasted politicians, Japan has said it is to de-commission it's nuclear plants ,I bet you they will turn to Coal

I wonder why a country like Japan can not harness the power of their volcanos to produce steam for turbines and produce electricity that way.

I'm seeing more cigar and bus exhaust than blowing snow.
It got warm again today. What little ice is left is melting.
Is this a terse and succint posting?
Yes.
And that's only because I can't compete with graphics.

^ Thanks for the tip and comments, I'll make sure I puff my cigars under trees next time I promise.

If I could choose that tree would be in Tahiti and I'd have a banjo to go with me and my cigars, now that's what I call living.

Just a random thought I guess, not sure how closely link that is to climate change (I'm sure its not at all) but ah well Tahiti...........mmmmmmmmm- me under a tree with banjo and cigars heaven..........

Our local council has made the bus stops so they stick out into the road. Their excuse is that buses have trouble pulling out. Like hell they do. They just move off when they want to. It is narrow anyway with lots of parked cars. I have seen 50 to 60 vehicles waiting for a bus to move off, meanwhile pumping out exhaust fumes. Good to know that the council is doing its bit for pollution. Causing it that is.

The largest power station in England is changing from coal to wood chips. The wood is cut in Canada, processed in two new factories, shipped to England then stored in specially built containers to try and avoid explosions. Even the green lobby say that the saving to the environment will be zero. BUT the EU say we have to do it. The electricity will be subject to subsidies the sam as the blooming (useless) wind turbines. Am I going mad or are they?
