Climate Change (oh no not again)

The largest power station in England is changing from coal to wood chips. The wood is cut in Canada, processed in two new factories, shipped to England then stored in specially built containers to try and avoid explosions. Even the green lobby say that the saving to the environment will be zero. BUT the EU say we have to do it. The electricity will be subject to subsidies the sam as the blooming (useless) wind turbines. Am I going mad or are they?

Worry not. Teddles - It is they who are madly deranged...

Yea that's right, haven't they heard of cold fusion with Maple Syrup (refer www.topsecretKanacresearchmaplesecret.com.kanac)- tastes better too.

Maybe I should keep such thoughts to myself (plus it's NATO top secret), in case the green lobby go for it......................

You can't even google this stuff!!!

Your search - topsecretKanacresearchmaplesecret - did not match any documents.

Just heard on the radio we (North Isl) are in the worst and longest drought since the end of ww2 and no relief expected until April-May The lawns are brown we have water restrictions and of course a total fire ban.

After over a year of steady rain our water table must be the highest it has been for almost all time. The reservoirs are overflowing and the aquifers must be at bursting point. Flood warnings are still in place at many locations. Hosepipe bans are sure to follow this Summer (which I have been reliably informed will be on June 28 th this year).

Everyone was saying it was like spring weather over the weekend,
but today is more like summer, warm breezes, some dust in the air.
Yeah, time for a snooze!

I not only snoozed, almost hibernating, I slept in, and it's warmer and drier today.
Squirrels are zipping all over the place.
The northern swans that migrate along the lake, having a rest stop in a field near Port Colborne,
have come and gone over the weekend, the most anyone has ever seen.
I just read about it.
Yep, yep yep yep yep. Looks like another winter went by and I didn't shovel any snow.

^ I have a new solution to speed up the global warming process, to alleviate your climatic problems in the Nortern Hemisphere- don't say we don't care in the South............

I reckon If I blow hard enough on my customised Higgs "boson" Basoon, its gotta warm up something!

Nice try with the Higgs Boson - But the Bozos in the Theoretical Physics community have still have alot more woodshedding to do. I'm glad that my Astronomy Prof. did not let me be corralled by the quarks and sub-quarks in the Physics Dungeon at the University:grin:
Besides, researching Gamma Ray Burst progenitors was way more interesting...

Anyone interested in the GLOBAL WARMING argument should read THE AGE OF GLOBAL WARMING by RUPERT DARWELL.
His arguments (backed up by the lack of any global temperature rise for the last fifteen years) are very strong. I believe we will soon see the collapse of the argument that man has any real influence on the Earths temperature and it is merely a way of making one self important and screwing money out of the tax payer.

It will be interesting to see if there is a massive run on the banks in Europe. The Euro is very overvalued at the moment and investment in the USA, America or England has to look more attractive.

Too bad mankind can't make the economy heat up like the atmosphere.
Oh wait!
That means too many tourists would be in the way around the peninsula.
I'll stay upset about the lack of snow, no ice, and non-freezing temperatures today,
because I can't get out on my bicycle.

And the non-migrating ducks now go "quark-quark".

I'm gonna put all my assets in Banjo's and Vegemite, let them confiscate that for me ... ah ha

Love the humour - Seriously though, It is a great concern that by "extra-parliamentary" means accounts are "broken into" and funds harvested. This is a development that smacks of dictatorship!
