Climate Change (oh no not again)

Cycles are strange thing. I believe cicadas all hatch at the same time. I love the sound of them. To me it means Summer in the S of F. Oh dear. Pining again.

One of my favorite expectations about bike-hiking along the Niagara Parkway is the sound of cicadas.
I can stop beside trees along the river, hearing them calling back and forth with trees on property and a further forest,
a three-way conversation. They only use a few different syllables, but they know how to use them.
Catching one in the face while I'm riding along is another thing entirely. I don't miss that.

Thought Police??? Are you gonna let those clowns have power over you??? I'm just as un - "pc" as any junkyard dawg out there.

Anyhow, now the latest scare-mongering from the climate-talibans and enviro-nazis is that 1/2 of the Artic Ice Sheet has melted - What is meant by half? The top surface of the ice sheet? The ice sheet is very thick - at least 1000 meters in places, if my memory serves me... And they bother not with stating the obvious: Ice Sheets have grown and shrunk since the beginning of this Earth. The ipcc and their henchmen are a crew of quack-doctors and science "has-beens". Their findings are worth less than the s**t on the toilet paper after you've wiped your backside. For me, their prognostications are like a piss-poor vaudeville farce performed by denizens of skid-row.

I am in close collaboration with a gentleman who is indirectly responsible for the maintenance of the wind turbines off our coast. He informs me that he believes that they are a load of s**t but can not say that publicly. The good news is that when everybody else realises that they are a load of s**t they can use the connection points for wave generators.

Roll on the enlightenment. Roll on the waves.

And its the beleaguered British Taxpayer who foots the bill for the madness - Maybe its high time for a Tea Party on the Thames...

Here in the sublime Niagara Peninsula, climate change boosts real estate values.
Now featuring lower average temperatures than Florida, without the hurricanes and oil rain,
with the excellent drainage provided by shipping and hydro canals, keeping flood rates low.
No snow? I don't hear too many complaints. Declining wild life, from bugs to birds to deer?
That hurts.

And of course the dreaded Sand Fly..... I Read that NZ will not be placed too badly if the changes as predicted actually do eventuate in about 100yrs
