The last movie I watched was simply called Devil. Set in Philadelphia, four people are trapped in an elevator (lift) somewhere around floor 20 of a 40 storey building. Had a very cool twist at the end, and some seriously spook bits and pieces. However, as a horror fan, I'd say it was quite tame. Enjoyable, though.

Last movie that I remember watching is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, as scored by Alexandre Desplat. Excellent scoring.

The Avengers. It had really good graphics and music to it. The music totally added to the action of the movie, it was soo gooooooodd

American Pie: Reunion

I was worried it would be awful, but I actually loved it! It felt like being reunited with old friends. Same old jokes, but that's what I wanted.

Hello kavin and welcome to the forum.

Layer Cake with Daniel Craig and a host of established actors. A good old fashoioned British ganster film along the same lines as The Long Good Friday.

Judy. MIDNIGHT COWBOY has a similar effect on me. A young man setting off full of hopes and ideas and ending up sitting on a bus with a dead friend.

Via Netflix, a 1968 cinema verite film shot by the Maysles brothers about Bible salesmen going door to door, entitled Salesman. Very reminiscent of the type of work done by Frederick Wiseman in this genre, in that there was no narrative or musical soundtrack.

The Secret Life of Bees Life in the deep south and the relationships between the white people and their black maids. Recommended.

Via Netflix, Primer, an indie movie about an "accidental" time machine being built and its unintended consequences for two of the engineers involved in its construction, due to such factors as causality and paradoxes. On the whole, I found it to be rather muddled and confusing; I'll take the H.G. Wells treatment of the same topic any day of the week.

On Netflix, Soylent Green, with Charlton Heston, Joseph Cotten and Edward G. Robinson. Pretty damn depressing, especially since some of the problems foreseen back in 1973--such as global warming and the growing gulf between rich and poor--are already here.
