If you would like to hear some good soprano sax try MINGUS by Joni Mitchell accompanied by Wayne Shorter on the SS and of course Herbie Hancock on electric piano

Herbie Hancock might be a lot of things, but he sure in hell ain't no clown! Btw, just in case you were referring to Stanley Clarke on electric bass, he is no clown either, IMHO.

I'm not referring to any particular person, I just dislike Electric Bass, Guitar, Piano, Violin or any other other non acoustic instrument that is used in a Jazz ens or any Classical music, it appears my remark has ruffled your feathers

Thanks teddy it is my era but not my favourite instrument, for the Sax it is Alto then Tenor followed by Baritone.
Apologies for going off topic but just to add a balance here is Mr Mulligan Gerry that is not Mick performing a standard note his breath control which I would imagine is not easy with a Baritone.

Mat. That certainly meets my approval, and great to hear not only Coltrane playing soprano but teaming with McCoy Tyner as well

( do you think we will convert Colin?)
