I make music on my computer, and I usually make some sort of loop on REASON, then transfer it to SOny Vegas so i can record a guitar or microphone over top. But Its a lot of annoying work to keep transferring something from reason if I want to make the smallest change in the drums in vegas etc.
Is there a program where I can do both of these things (Or is there a way to record the guitar onto a track in reason. I also want to use a MIDI keyboard as well.
As far as I can see Cubase might have the goods, but im having trouble getting it. Are there any other programs that can do all of this, or can reason do this, or vegas, does vegas have MIDI

Oh god, im confused and surrounded by slammies

Cubase sounds like a good choice - it also comes in different versions depending on your need. I just don't understand how it should be troublesome to get? - if your local music store can't get it for you try www.musiciansfriend.com - or perhaps try Steinberg Canada - http://www.steinbergcanada.com/

Good luck.
