• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

    This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

    As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

    In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

GrandOrgue 0.3 Build - Windows

Cybug

New member
Hi All

I have been trying to build v0.3 but have had a few problems.

1. Compiling wxWidget Release build for gcc_lib:
in wx/app.h fails at function "virtual bool Yield(bool WXUNUSED(onlyIfNeeded) = false) { return true; }"
It does state in the comments that this function is dangerous and best not to use it so I commented it out :confused:
wxWidgets compiled OK and the release build 0.3 compiled OK but GrandOrgue crashed on opening?

Has anyone seen/tried this before?

Thanks

Chris

I need your help.i have grandorgue and samplesets but but there is no sound.

With a current GO (0.3.0.6):
* At least one stop selected and key pressed?
* Polyphony/Volume indicator "move"?
* Sufficient volume selected?
* Amplitude/Gain in the organ settings not set to a too low value?
* Did you try different audio devices [GO provides them in different variants]?
* What is the audio output configuration in GO?

During error search, I would set samples per buffer to 1024 and increase the latency.

And with the help of Google Translate:

Con una corriente GO (0.3.0.6):
* Por lo menos una parada seleccionada y pulsa la tecla?
* ¿Se mueve el indicador de Polyphony / volumen?
* Suficiente volumen seleccionado?
* Amplitud / Ganancia en la configuración de los órganos no se ajusta a un valor demasiado bajo?
* ¿Sabía usted probar diferentes dispositivos de audio [GO les ofrece en distintas variantes]?
* ¿Cuál es la configuración de salida de audio en el GO?

Durante la búsqueda de errores, me fijaría muestras por buffer para 1024 y aumentar la latencia.

I would also ask what operating system you are using (Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux, 32-bit or 64-bit)?

También me pregunto qué sistema operativo que esté utilizando (Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux, 32-bit o 64-bit)?

Kind regards (Saludos cordiales)

I have a question,May I use it in Windows7 Gamer Edition 64 Bit?
Is It possible?

Sincerely
Jacob

Hi Jacob,

It's windows7 x64.... why not ? But anyway, download the latest (as posted) 0306 (991) x64 and give it a try.
Tip : a small organ at first to have some more speed on loading , like Prib chamber organ set from Sonus Paradisi (free) or the small positif we did in Pitea (included in main folder)

Best
