Yeah! I had my own progressive time onstage the other night. I was invited to a karaoke. Yeah, I know.

Since I was singing "Who's Crying Now" to myself lately, I thought I'd do that, knowing the words.
But this was a "kind of like Journey" adaptation, so I was watching the screen, sometimes.
I also felt slightly disconcerted, standing up there without my guitar.

However, I decided to sing along with the guitar solo at the end,
and got right into it, the sound onstage being good, the foldback monitor working well,
and I had to decide to eat the mike to get my vocals in over the softening effects.
I started singing the actual solo, got into harmonizing and singing away, for a long time.
That was fun for me, doing something new, certainly progressive for me, vocally.

Yeah! Fretting fingers want to know.

Even though I have the original of this work from 1973 {?} on vinyl, I had completely forgotten about it. It was really nice hearing again, especially with the narrator announcing each instrument before it is introduced into the mix.

I'm thinking of getting the cd, as I haven't used my turntable for many moons now.
And please make sure your head doesn't start spinning around when you listen to these:

Today I listened to ELP--Brain Salad Surgery and Tarkus thru my new Sennheiser HD 201 headphones. Wow!

A great group. Have you heard him play with Clapton yet. I have not heard anything since they got back together again.
