David, believe it or not, I was watching the exact same video less than an hour ago. The idea itself is quite nice, though there are parts in the piece that seem a bit out-there.

Also, while we're discussing unusual fugues, have a look at this one. Not a masterpiece, that's for sure, but definitely better than the original.

Now this is actually a nicely written fugue, though I've not as yet sat down and taken it apart to see if it meets standard fugal layout (exposition, development, recapitulation) plus all the necessary imitations and inversions ... but enjoy

Different ... and quite a nice flowing piece. Parts of it seem "fuge ish" and others parts of it now.

Hey Mat, interesting, but fancy wasting such talent creating a fugue from such shite!

Yah, I don't care much for Britney Spears either, but the concept of creating a fugue out of something so contemporary is pretty fascination.
