Out of the USA comes a female fronted Progressive band CIRRUS BAY. This group presents a very English style of music that can obviously remind a lot of Genesis (late 70-s period). There are some references to Glass Hammer too. Anyway, the material sounds really fine, both instrumentally and vocally - thanks to female singers Sharra Acle and Anisha Gilham; Mark Biasko (drums & bass) and Bill Gilham (lead guitars, keyboards, mandolin). Together they have succeeded in recording a beautiful CD 'A Step Into Elsewhere'. Enjoy! ;)

I've got my copy today. It's time for some spins. Then I shall do my best to describe particular album.
:)
Meanwhile, you can read a little quotation from the Kinesis website:

"Whimsical Weather (2012, 62-minutes) picks up where A Step Into Elsewhere left off and further develops the Cirrus Bay style, essentially a combination of the breezy Renaissance style with beautiful female vocals and instrumental Genesis/Hackett style symphonic/pastoral prog. It’s a beautiful album with it’s soul in the early-to-mid 1970s, standing in stark contrast to the “sound and fury signifying nothing” of much modern music."

Cirrus Bay has fulfilled my expectations. ‘Whimsical Weather’ is a distinctive and imaginative album, with plenty of superb keyboards and excellent guitar performance. The sheer class on display and the sophistication of arrangements. The prevailing vibe is mellow, having a cool feel. Subtlety is a key-word here. :)And repeated listens serve to enrich the melodies and increase enjoyment. The music is rooted (again) in a firm sound on stalwart like Genesis, with a modern edge. Anisha Gillham and Sharra Acle have complementary voice timbres which fit together... Last but not least. The wonderful booklet means that this is an album to buy as a CD rather than download.
