Donna Lee by Miles Davis

Combining my love of Jazz with my love for Military Bands here is The Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy playing an arrangement of Miles Davis's "Donna Lee".

Hi G.B.,
I'm not quite sure how I would charactise this as jazz, a type of swing perhaps.

Cheers John

Well, here's the Esbjorn Svensson piece I was raving about. One word of advice, though, give it till about 2 minutes in when Esbjorn comes back hard on the piano and it really starts to take off and develop. If you turn it off because of the dissonant opening sound on the bass {bowing technique} you'll really be missing out on a masterpiece, IMHO, of course: Esbjörn Svensson Trio – The Face Of Love. I think as the piece goes on--if you're anything like me--you'll crank up the old volume and start drumming along. I do hope you all enjoy it!

Hi Gord,
I have just become a fan of Lee morgan after listening to (bought) his Cd "the Ultimate Collecton".
I must look for the "Gigola" Cd which I ran from Youtube just to show his ability.
I think I've been missing something here.
Cheers John
