If anyone has an interest in using GigaStudio (Tascam sold Giga) as a virtual organ software package here is what you should be aware of. Using Post Instruments fine samples of cathedral pipe organs the quality are very good. But you might equalize to correct for the natural reverberation spikes and dips. Unless you have a very fast computer (GigaStudio 3 Orchestra) you should only load one patch or midi channel with a particular stop combination. Then use midi program change messages generated by pistons or crescendo pedals to change the stop combinations. I tried to select stops by routing each of 16 channels (loaded with different stops) to stop tabs assigned to each midi channel but if more than one stop was selected, the computer could not keep up. However, since stop combinations were used, I decided to use a single midi channel assigned to a single alterable stop. Then by using multiple pistons various stop combinations could be selected using only one stop tab or draw knob.
