Hi everyone!

My name is Alex Lamy and I'm an aspiring composer for film, television and video games, I compose mainly orchestral music. I have just finished my undergraduate degree in Music Commercial Composition and Technology with a 1st class honours result at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. I am due to start my postgraduate masters course in September at the Royal College of Music, studying Composition for Screen.

I have a website showing some examples of my work - http://www.alexlamy.com - but also have soundcloud and youtube accounts with my of my work on them.

I look forward to meeting people on this forum and having lots of discussions about music with people, and welcome you all to critique my works if you have the free time. Comments and feedback are always really helpful.

Thanks,

Alex

Hello and welcome to the forum, Alex. It's always nice to have a new memeber join our international community.

I've had a brief look at your soundcloud account. I quite liked the Inferno soundtrack. Might I ask what music software do you use?

Thanks to everyone for your welcomes and for listening to my stuff.

As for the software I use, I run everything in Logic Pro on a very powerful Mac Pro, and I use EastWest sample libraries for my orchestral virtual instruments, mainly their 'EWQL Symphonic Orchestra' and 'Symphonic Choirs' libraries.
