Thank you, I will. This is a very busy weekend but I will listen to it during the week. I was wondering why this topic is in the Architecture, Painting, Photography thread. Would more of the group find it if it were a separate thread in the Music discussion area?

    A bit of folk dance

I've seen this group on a number of occasions at folk festivals, but they have not been around for a couple of years now. (Video quality is not that good, but the lively action and colour are evident.)
    Cheers MIKE.

The first clip is faulty Mike but the 2nd was OK.

One of my favourite jazz pieces is Dave Brubeck's 'Unsquare Dance" unsquare as in 7/4 metre. the dancers are not too bad either. This version is not good musically but you will all no doubt be familiar with it

Looking at a video that Lorenzo just posted I came across this what a sad state of affairs when he is all but ignored?? I know it goes on a bit but I would have given him a couple of bucks as did the odd passer by.

This thread needs more input, so try this, I saw this performance live and have stills of the performance, but this is better (the camera man didn't pan round the crowd quite far enough at the end top catch me!)

Saw this group yesterday at the Poole Quay folk festival, somewhat different, more genteel and restrained you might say.!

Regarding the first video it is amazing how a key change can give a lift to a performance, an old jazz trick. pity the camera man missed you Mike.

The above is 'Scottish Country Dance' - not to be confused with 'Highland Dance' which was something done solo by Highland soldiers to keep fit and warm.
