Don't be so hard on yourself, John. Everyone's allowed to make ONE mistake

But what if they are mounting up to say 21?

Incidentally I really rate your P.J.Quartet track. I hope I can find some of the excellent Polish jazz you have promoted at a reasonable price - I'm off to Amazon looking for downloads.

Cheers John

PS here is some Brazilian music you led me to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmaf6RlvQak&feature=player_detailpage

Hi Mat,
Answering your 1st Question - I believe it to be beautiful, individually styled, jazz piano of the highest quality and I could listen
to her all day playing such.
However I really like her voice and on the whole she concentrates on that aspect, with piano solos as a fill-in, and the theme often being
Bossa Nova style because of her background.
I expect to buy her CD "Dreamer" sometime soon. Sample - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxKeth4iuo0&feature=player_detailpage
Thank you for giving me this great lead.

Your 2nd point - I reserve judgement - I am not a fan of male jazz singers , and anyway, is this jazz? I leave it to you to enter him for the "recent jazz thread" if you wish.

Hello John,

To be honest, my opinion after having listened to a couple of her tracks is that I miss more up-beat tunes, like the one I posted here. But then again, I've really only listened to a few clips on Youtube. And based on these clips, I have to say I prefer her playing (not that the singing is bad; it's just not as good).

Somehow I knew you wouldn't like this track (even if you didn't clearly state it), but I hope Teddy will give it a listen, as it inculdes a decent soprano sax solo.

Welcome to Polish jazz, Stu.

I see you've been doing your own research, John. That's another good one from Jan (John) Ptaszyn Wróblewski

Hi John, I was surprised as well but it's not a hoax. He's actually playing an iPad.

Never heard of the band you posted, John. According to the brief info I found on Wiki, they use Polish jazz of the 60s and 70s to create their own music. The above track comes from a 2003 album.
