@ Mat, I wish to apologize too; I've been very ill as of late and really haven't been able to concentrate for long periods of time on music listening and analysis, but--like Teddy--I intend to return ASAP to participating more in the Jazz Forum.
Please reat assured though, I am stll very much here and interested in jazz, my first love.

I am here as well but find myself spending more time on TC for those in depth threads .... they have some knowledgeable posters and some that think they are knowledgeable and some complete idiots but overall a bit confrontational and young not a bit like us

@ Steve, You do not have to apoligize. I am aware you've been having health issues recently and I'd never expect you to spend time on the forum, while you're not feeling well. Please take good care of yourself and once you've been up to interacting with us here at MIMF, be sure we'll be all waiting for you. :tiphat:

@ Teddy, Indeed, I've tried to reach you a couple times but couldn't. And by the way, is our weekly skype chat on Staurday nights still functioning? I have only seen Mike online. I know Rob's away, but there's still you, Colin, Lars and yours truly.

I always have trouble with Saturday nights as if we are doing anything, Saturday night will be the time. I will try and listen out tonight from about 9.00pm BST but next week we have friends over to dinner so that will definitely be a no no. I do ring Mike once in a while to make sure the old bugger is still alive. If anything happens to him I will let you all know (after I have been round and nicked his train set)

Whenever I go onto skype I see you as absent??? teddy is sometimes there but not talking ...
I do not have skype on auto at start up.

I find that I regularly have to re sign into Skype as it drops out on its own. I also sometimes forget to hit the absent button. If you see me signed on during Tuesday or Thursday it is my wife using the machine. A case of wife fi.

Colin, usually I am on skype Friday through Sunday from 8 to 11 pm CET (that would be 6 to 9 am your time, IF I got the time difference right). When are you? Oh, and I don't always change my status to 'available'.

Maybe we should use this thread again to set up a new time.

Mat the time differences make it very difficult I certainly would not be on Skype at 6 - 9 am any day of the week in fact I can't guarantee a time at all, I will just have to rely on luck

I don't know if it is only NZ but YouTube is overdoing the advertisements every time I > a video I get blaedy silly adds Grrrrr

I use Adblock on Firefox and don't get any ads or pop ups (except on Spotify, so I uninstalled it)

Zackly, no ads; the Yahoo groups that I subscribe to are also ad supported, all I get is "Yahoo Groups are supported by Advertisments" "Continue to message" another forum that is ad supported I just get a blank space at the top and on the right hand side where ads would otherwise appear.

Well I might give Firefox a try I thought that being as google own Youtube the adds were a necessary evil how about the adds on MIMF?
