Old Kiln Light Railway
Gauge 2'
Length of line 3/4 of a mile. Owned and operated by a group of enthusiast who collect steam and diesel locomotives and rolloing stock.
Pamela was built in 1906 by Hunslet for us in the Welsh slate quaries. Slowly being rebuilt. Elouise was built in Germany for the goverment but ended up in Portugal as a tourist attraction, outside a cafe. Now has a new and appreciative home.
Rolling stock is from all over, some military, and some of the coaches have been built from old wagons.
Passenger rides are available, but mainly this is a site for railway nutters, and bless their hearts. The line is currently being extended and more builings added from a variety of sources. A steep climb which at times hits 1- 30.
