• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

How to get Leslie Rotary speaker for Hauptwerk?

Hi Friends,
I just finished assembling my new PC especially for playing Hauptwerk 4.I used Intel I5 760 processor with DH55TC motherboard. I'm happy with the sound with no glitches.
Since,I'm a hammond player,I like rotary speaker effect sound and i wan't to have rotary speaker effect for the overall Hauptwerk output. Is there any free VST plugins available for adding rotary speaker effect? Please help.

Thanks,
Sunny.

Hi Sunny :)

I did this with Prib positiv then on HW3 (pure VSTi) >>>> it's great fun ! Imagine that I played blues with Prib and Leslie simulator = SUPER !
It is possible with HW4 too as VSTi link with Reaper4.

There is one great Leslie sim VST and free for all (the one I'm using), here :

The one you want is MrDonald v1.0

Enjoy !

It's always exciting to say that three time Grammy winner for best polka album, Walter Ostenak,
gave me a ride with his van when I bought a big old used Leslie in his music store in St. Catharines.
It was the biggest, the woodiest, one of the oldest Leslies made, and it was a trade-in.
Walter was saying he's probably going to end up donating it to a church, but I asked if I could try plugging in my guitar.
I had seen pictures of Jimi Hendrix using one, and always liked the sound for organ.

I'd like to take a few moments here, just to admire the nerve it took to admit to being a Hammond organist, in this domain.
Sure, that's not like my old Thomas Organ with it's Happy Feet option, that didn't even have a disco beat.
No, we're talking Hammond, and of course, I'm thinking B3, even PortaB.
Somehow, I'm thinking your daughter was your drummer.
