When I was a mayoral candidate during a municipal election,
I was arrested for calling members of organized crime a crime family.
I was kept under arrest for two years, until charges were dropped.
The Crown Attorney who was prosecuting me?
His son, a crown attorney, was arrested with a judge and crime family members.
This crime family later became Hell's Angels president, vice-president and club owners.
That was stupid, but criminally stupid. You can't just laugh that off.

And now, employers in the US are asking candidates for a job for their Facebook login and password.

By not having Farcebook (spelling intentional) you prove that you are in full possession of all your faculties and not tempted into frivolous pursuits which can have a detrimental effect on your sanity.

I'm glad to be in semi-retirement ... and not having to seek out employment ... I can't imagine being asked to hand over all my log in information for these forums to total strangers ... I do have a "Farcebook" :)lol:) page, but its access is highly restricted to immediate friends and family only. I only use it to post pictures for the rest of our clan to see - but I don't spend any significant time on that site as I used to.

Now that I like...:clap: Seriously, I stopped using Farcebook three years ago since I perceived that it could be a source of information that could be contrived, misinterpreted, and used against me. Thankfully, I am gainfully employed with an organization that does not require access to social "netforums" as a requirement for employment.

I believe that the NSA "vacuums" MIMF for any "suspicious" word or letter combinations. So, everything that is written here is "electronically molested" by acres of supercomputers located in a non-descript black building in Arlington, Virginia.

I gotta admit, as a living out loud electric guitarist and protest political candidate, facebook works for me.
Sure, it's a cheap electronic thrill, some cosmetic vanity. I don't even care about what I like,
having to cope with the reality around me that I see as the worst of times.
And I love deeply, what pulls me out of myself, nothing about liking or not liking.
I'd sooner let others get down on me publicly that way, because it saves me from their actual reality.
So that works for me. And I type facebook, without ever getting my face in there.
Most sites like this are owned by tracer, bond bails or government organizations,
and are used to locate people for their legal reasons.

I don't want to live in a society where you can be told to put on your armband or headset,
and connect yourself to your computer, so you can be questioned like a lie detector,
or your residential hydro will be cut off. It's heading that way.

1984 should be compulsory reading for everyone. We have thoughtcrime over here. If someone thinks you meant something anti racist, religious etc the can demand prosecution, whether it was intended or not.
