Oh no, lab-grown meat - GetMeowtaHere - It'll ne'er supplant Kobe, Argentinian, or Longhorn on-the-hoof........

Frightening is it not. We eat pure fresh food when we can and are fussy the rest of the time. Marks and Spencer have a policy of never selling genetically altered food. They an be a little more expensive than some places but there is no wastage so it balances out.

I agree. Mercury for a start not to mention all the other rubbish they can ingest. I believe oysters will only survive in clean water.

I do not like the sound of that John. I would prefer my meat to come straight from an animal, at least hopefully there are no nasty things in it.

Food Inc. is all fake. But yeah, it's been a long time since we could call our food "healthy"

Once again this year we grew what we could. It definitely tastes better and gives you more confidence eating it. Eggs we get free range and we know the farm they come from. I have a third of an acre of ground which we may try and live off if I can't get permission to build and that is big enough for all our food needs including chickens and maybe a pig as well. OK, babanas we would still have to buy, unless they are right about global warming.

The Eu has decided, in its wisdom, that certain birds and animals only have to be in this country for a month to be labelled British. Chickens `from China, livestock from Bulgaria, it will all be British. I only hope that the British farmers will be able to come up with a labeling system that clearly shows where the produce was actually breed, otherwise we could end up eating anything.
