Eric, that's not good news. I understand your commitment to business though, that comes first for sure. I also have enjoyed corresponding with you.
If I make it to Cornwall some day we will have a 'pint of the best'. Thanks for the best wishes.
The forum can be a bit quiet at times but sometimes it speeds up, (at first I thought it was my idiotic rambling in here!!:()
All the best to you and yours.
Stu.

I checked in here quietly. It's quarter to something and there's no one in the place except...only me...so set 'em up Joe...who's Joe?

The dog fetches my slippers as a good dog should. I tell him he's good. He growls "Cut the bulls**t!"
The cat is curled up all cosy on the evening newspaper, so I whip it from under him. He screams out,( louder than the Stan Kenton trumpet section),"ooooh shooobie dooobie!" and "ooooh Yma Sumac!"
"Was it something you read?" I asked. He didn't answer, because cats can sing but they can't talk!
Enough of this absurdity.
I listened to the Modern Jazz Quartet.

Okay, 'My Ship' has sailed. The sun shone bright today for a nice change and it was ideal for my favourite outdoor pursuit, walking the dogs! along river banks and through a forest. I set of for a few hours, backpack, coffee, sandwiches, dog biscuits (for the dogs!), binoculars (Got a good close up sighting of a 'Marsh Harrier' today) and a video camera (I film some crazy stuff; running with dogs; dancing with dogs (amazing how when you get home and edit the stuff how a lot of music fits perfectly, like the Carter Family's 'Keep On The Sunny Side Of Life'!- and climbing and sometimes falling off trees-not planned!).
This track I have used often as a musical backdrop to the walkin' videos. Although maybe not ideal laid back stuff, I played it again last night when sitting up before I laid back.:)

But Mike (with tone of surprise) - the thread doesnt actually say jazz!
No - you're right. My track was marginal if atall - but those guys were quite amusingI think.
No quastion of your 2 tracks being great jazz and laid back to boot.

How about this by my most recent favourite Jazz female vocalist. (But is this jazz?
- its so difficult to work this out for many vocalists renderings.
