180 quid for a torch? Looks like a once in a lifetime opportunity, indeed.

And you get a 100 pack of Jura-sell [!!!] AA's for free!

Right Mike, my common sense must've kicked in. Apparently, that wasn't the case for the seller.

Can not blame the sellers. With all the billions being made why should the not have a share. £180,000 would make quite a difference to my life, and for some of them it must be an absolute fortune, almost beyond their dreams. Its their choice. A wonderful memento or a small fortune.

But Teddy, the first item linked to is just an electric battery operated torch which has a London Olympics sticker plastered on it, I know they say "There's one born every minute" but it would have to be somebody exceedingly gullible to fall for it.

The Olympics used to be a prestige sporting occasion, now it's just another big business media event with loads of get rich quick eejits jumping on the band wagon; makes me sick

Definitely someone trying to capitalize on the London 2012 Olympic Games. The add noted "hand crafted in China" ... yup ... someone's hands pushed the button on the automated plastic mold machine and then pasted the sticker on it.

There are some who will fall for this, thinking it is an official souvenir of the Olympics, only to find out later it could have been bought at any local merchandiser for a couple pounds, or less.
