Hitler was a leftist right out of the liberal mold. It was only when Hitler invaded the Soviet Union that American liberals, broke faith with National Socialist Germany. Communism was their great love and they no longer could support a system that was at war with their favorite political systm.

I understand some of what this guy is saying about the dangers of nations governed by aggressors. That said, this is an army nutcase who is commited to war and hates hippies.

Who are the "american liberals" ? In my country, a liberal is a beliver in liberalism, that is a weak state, opportunity for the individual etc..

Cheer up! Although liberals will never completely go away, we are winning. The Democrats, under the boot heal of wacko, leftist “progressive” liberals are cracking up from the strain! They are beginning to come to the realization that they aren’t in power anymore.

In the meantime, liberals are a danger to America. If they somehow succeed in orchestrating an American defeat in the War with Islam, the ramifications will be devastating to our way of life. This can only happen if we, the American voters, allow it to happen.

Is he refering to half of the american population as wackos ?

Has anyone heard of what is going on here in Australia about the different Races.....not only the Sydney brawl...but now Muslims are rising up against the prime minister, John Howard, and saying that they want to live their own way in this country, but, the Prime minister is saying...you live in our country you have to abide by our rules or else you're out.....which I think is absolutely correct...What is your opinions?

These are really vexing problems - generally speaking, when in Rome do as the Romans do - that can apply well for all the different emigrant groups to different parts of the world. The Muslims have a faith for which they are willing to die for - many westerners don't have that kind of an impetus. Therefore, clashes will come about whether we like it or not.

Well, I spose thats what happens when you have a bunch of humans that are all different.

Hi gareth,

Members of a particular ethnic group will always seek out their own in a foreign country - that is the human condition. Having lived in Stockholm, Sweden for a while, I noticed definitely that when many emigrants from the Middle East moved into a suburb, the Swedes vacated that suburb.

The Swedes just did not feel safe anymore. The suburb of Soedertaelje which is south of Stockholm has a large community of emigrants in a subsection called Ronna Hoejden ( Ronna Heights ) It is known to many Swedes as Golan Heights. The Swedish Government has tried to integrate the emigrants into the Swedish society by sending the different emigrants to city suburbs where many Swedes live - the same things happen - the Swedes leave and the emigrants get angry and resentful.

Remember, Sweden was a homogenous society until the Socialists took over. The Government took in many from the Middle East to help solve the lack of employable people to do the jobs ordinary Swedes did not want to do.

Cheers,

Giovanni

Keep us updated on that, and I will keep you updated on the situation here in Australia.

Hi gareth,

Unfortunately, much, if not all of the tensions and violence which have erupted because of the massive emigration to Sweden go unreported. The Government does not want to be seen in an unfavorable light amongst it's citizens. Rosengaard in Malmoe, Sweden is quickly becoming like East Los Angeles with violent street gangs. There are many enraged Middle Eastern youth gangs in Rosengaard who have a sociopathic indifference to humans.

Even the police rarely, if ever, patrol the neighborhood of Rosengaard. I visited some friends in Malmoe in November and witnessed first hand how four blond-haired Swedish women in their 20's were abducted by a gang - the women's bodies were found the next morning mutilated beyond recognition.

I heard yesterday on how Zimbabwe is going....the rate of inflation there is 613%, imagine buying some meat for say an amount of 10 what ever you want....the next year you will be paying 60 then the next 325...I just couldn't believe it.

There is a rebellion in S.Africa of all the native africans going against their own government as they are finally realising where it is all going. They saying it is starting to become a dictatorship, which doesn't suprise me. Zimbabwe chased out all of it's white farmers, and now they don't have any food for their country.

It makes me wonder which is worse....Iraq or Zimbabwe??

Hi gareth,

After World War I, you had to pay 80 million reichsmark for one dollar! Talk about Hyperinflation!!! So, you can understand that many Germans were mighty angry. In a sense, that might have been a precipitating factor in the rise to power of that *feldwebel* named Hitler.

Robert Mugabe also was having a party, eating cake and all the good stuff, and these kids were perring in the fence watching him eat, and you know the situation there, no food. Makes you wonder how the situation really is, South Africa isn't that far behind either.

Funny to say that Hitler was an Artist, he was a really talented one as well.

Hi gareth,

The Continent of Africa in general and sub-Saharan Africa in particular makes for a problematique that isn't easily encompassed over tea and crumpets. Mugabe in Zimbabwe will soon be gone - for all intents and purposes there is no heir apparent after Mugabe, so brace yourself for some really wild *goings-on* Zimbabwe. South Africa is a work in progress - Rome wasn't built in a day.

Hitler also tried his hand at Architecture - didn't work out. Albert Speer crystallised much of Hitler's thinking in the proposed city of Germania, which was to be built were Berlin is, with 120-meter wide Boulevards. If you can find the book written by Leon Krier and entitled: *Albert Speer - Architecture* you will see just how far the planning had gone - it was quite breath-taking, both in scope and audacity.

Hey Giovanni,

I'd like to add onto your disscussion with Gareth if I could. You see, Sweden and Zimbabwe, how different they are, are quite similar. This is so unfortunate in many ways. These days people don't know how to run a country properly, I wont use Australia as an example.. but you can think if I did, just what exactly I'd say...

More so, Hitler. I guess not all find their dream jobs at first; I say good on Hitler for trying architecture. But unfortunetly, murdering innocent people cold-blooded, appealed to him more. Guess that way, if he had critics.. they'd be easy to handle. Hitler will never be anything to me, except a dog for attacking my country and it's people as well as all those other poor countries.
When I was in Poland in November, I had a chance to go to the missionary camps... I declined straight away. I know what my people went through, I don't want to have to see manicans with tomatosauce running down their necks from getting their stuffed heads pulled off.. To me, those manicans could be related to me, for all I know, my great grandfather might be that very manican. It's sad to know it wasn't that long ago...

Hi Basia,

Thanx for your adding to what gareth and I have chatted about. Since Hitler was both a failed Artist and a failed Architect, he became very despondent, morose, spiteful and hating that which did not fit into his *Weltanschauung* e.g. the Jews.

Of course, when Germany was to pay $33 billion in gold for war reparations after WWI, hyperinflation which devalued the Reichsmark to 80 million for each Dollar and other factors too many to go into, the stage was set for someone who had the gift of oratory rhetoric. Hitler exploited that plus his flair for drama and was able to sway many Germans who felt Germany had been given a raw deal in the Treaties signed at the cessation of hostilities.

Many people today who go for months on end without jobs, who have failed in their College career, become despondent and very prone to being suspicious of other people, governments, leaders of political parties and the like, do quite often lash out violently at perceived causes and that violence can very well include rape, aggravated assault, murder and other crimes.

Thanks for your reply.
I was reading in my SOSE book about world history for school one day, and came over Hitler here, and as you mentioned, Hitler did 'sway' the German community with him, but for one reason, power, and power only. If only the poeple knew what they were voting for.

But wasn't it that Hitler DIDN'T get the nessacary attention from ANYone for a long time? Wasn't it that Hitler made some sort of deal to get more seats, by 'more' then persuasive talking? And only until then, he make higher in rank, to be able to semi-'control' Germany, and turn the army against the country? Is all this what I'm recalling correct?
You seem to be highly educated in this part, and I would love to hear more on your part, for you seem to explain it better then any textbook I've seen (Besides the Encyclopedia).

Hi Basia,

Thanx for your kind words about my knowledge. I am passionate about History and do alot of reading on it and am interested in the human condition - not as a psychologist or as a psychiatrist but as a way of understanding how things can go horribly awry.

I weep over what has happened to the good people of Poland, especially after the Polish Partitions during the Reign of Catherine II of Russia, Frederick II of Prussia and Maria Theresa of Austria. The culmination being Poland dissappearing from the map during the Third Partition of 1795. And then, of course, Hitler's troops slashing through Poland and then the Russian Occupation of Poland.

Let us remember that the Nazi-dominated Reichstag enacted the so-called Enabling Act giving Hitler's government the power to rule by decree. Hitler had been appointed Chancellor by Paul von Hindenburg on 30 Jan 1933 and then Hitler
accomplished the *Machtergreifung* by constitutional procedures. The capturing of legal authority for the Nazis and the elimination of competing political groups consolidated Hitler's grip on Germany.

In my experience, people like being with members of their own group, which is defined by ethnicity, religion, values and philosophies. Some would call this observation bigoted, but keep in mind I'm not passing judgment on this -- I'm just telling what reality is. Others can work themselves up into apoplexy judging it, but this is my observation.

Personally, I would like to live around a community of nice people who share my values.

In my experience, people like being with members of their own group, which is defined by ethnicity, religion, values and philosophies.

I've lived as an ex-patriot in three different countries. I've met people who have lived in a country for fifteen years or more and never bothered to learn the language. Most spend all their time with other ex-pats. I really don't understand this attitude. I come to a country to live in that country, to learn about it's culture and people and try to learn to belong. I know it is easier to seek out those like you, who speak your language and know your culture, but that is no way to live in this world.

I grew up in a town with a large percentage of Vietnamese families. It was a very very small town. The Vietnamese families were considered much less foreign than people from the next county over.

That is what liberality means to me, the ability to open your mind and accept people as people, not disregarding their cultural differences but embracing them and learning from them.

My goodness but you are sounding very xenophobic. That is how it starts,an irrational fear of foreigners. Please don't fall into the obvious trap of blaming socio-economic problems on a general ethnicity.I live in a city that has always for hundreds of years had waves of different ethnic groups arriving fleeing everything from war ,religious persecution, economic hardship all of these and more. The pattern is always the same, impoverished people arrive in a strange culture, language and cultural barriers cause misunderstanding and frustration.Desperation, leads to tension and violence. The right wing flag it as a sign of all that is wrong in a City/country/economic center.Remove, or at the very least get tough with the foreigners, and all will be well.
The reality is of course that as people gradually get used to their new environment the conflict fades, the worse the economic situation in a country the longer the adjustment period. All nationalities have their low class thugs and criminals, they are usually more visible in times of national crisis whether that crisis is economic or social. The gap between the haves and have nots in Europe is widening.Tension through ignorance and greed political and religious intolerance has again reared its ugly head,so it is now that moderates must take the moral high ground and not make sweeping judgments based on rumor and fear.Beware or you become the thing you fear.I fully agree with Zlya.Isolation is no way to live, it invites fear and suspicion.Integration and acceptance is the way to true freedom.
