All I can say is.....Ouch, he hit some very high notes there, truely unbelieveable. I have heard it sung before, but not by a 12 year old...especially a boy.

Excellent stuff there Geo.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyy..!! That was FANTASTIC! I absolutely love that piece, but have only seen it sung by female, adult opera singers. I truly wonder how he found out this talent.. singing in the shower? Lol, it probably would brake the glass and mirrors. Speaking of braking glass by your voice, it can be done! Mythbusters ain't a useless program.

Either way, I loved it. You go little boy of 12!!

It's weird because even after i went through voice change, I could still kinda BS through this song... just weird to think that I used to be able to sing that high and I'm a guy

This is Max Emanuel Cencic at the age of 6. This was his first big concert on television with the Vienna Boys Choir. He went on singing and studying with the Vienna Boys Choir and made several CD's with them, including some incredible recordings on the CD Exultate Jubilate, where he sings "Der Hirt auf dem Felsen" by Schubert and an absolutely amazing version of "Frulingstimmen" by Struass (top note being an F above High C). He even has some really beautiful duets with another boy that are simply angelic.

He's now a really well known countertenor at the age of 28, and was named as best new (hardly) singer in Opera World magazine in 2003.

You can see a list of his CD's here:

If you're intrested, my favorites are Exultate Jubilate, High Mass at the Viennese Court, and Portrait.

I would venture to say he's the greatest boy solist ever. Incredible.

Okay, upon further inspection it's not Max Cencic.....sorry about that....obviously the boy in the video is not 6...hehehe.....however, my thought is that this boy IS with the Vienna Boys Choir. Regardless you should check those CD's I list above...They blow this boy out of the water.

Natural talent. Some people are just born with this inexplicable talent for singing (or composing, or playing)

This kid is headed for a big future!

This is Robin Schlotz of Germany at the age of 11/12. This was with a concert with the Tölzer Knabenchor or the Tolz boys choir.

Now I think he's about 14.

That video has been removed. Fortunately I had seen it some months back when a friend brought it to my attention. Amazing, eh?
