Hi everyone,

I'm taking my first tentative steps back into the world of music by posting on your forum.

I'm only a music hobbyist - I've played piano (and later, synths, drums, guitar, bass, flute, accordian

) as far back as I can remember, composing and performing in bands (weekend warriors) when I was younger.

I've sang for the Pope, toured Europe with two choirs, cut two instrumental albums (which were given to friends and family) and lamented over new studio gear.

I love most forms of music but I gravitate towards orchestral, jazz and trance/techno (mainly just country that I don't like).

My real job is in Human Resources, but my sister (an actress) has recently gotten me back into composing for her independant productions.

Whew... a little long-winded.

Hello Grant Haavaldsrud sorry to hear that you don't like country music it is not all doom and gloom or cousin billy bob fell down the well there is plenty to choose from nowadays like country rock, country swing, country blues, country ballads, country folk and of course the one that most people assume is country music namely country and western the old die hards may still like all that crying and wailling but the rest of us are enjoying our selves with the true variety of all styles of music including country (still the biggest selling genre) TTFN and welcome the to the party Sparky
