Hello Everyone!

Hello there!

I was reading a thread by a chap named Newman on another thread when the thread was suddenly locked. I learned he has moved here and as I applaud free speech, I thought I would have a look.

Have a great weekend!

PS I apologise for the lack of detail and avatar, but I was refused permission by the site's software when I tried to access the 'Edit Your Profile' section....

Is this normal?

Hello slim and welcome to the forum.

I think the registration problems were just a glitch. I will mention it to the regulators

Do you have any musical prefferences?

Hello teddy!

Musical preferences? Wow...very wide spectrum in truth, but to confine my reply to 'classical' music - I love Mozart, Vivaldi, Bizet and am slowly starting to appreciate Delius. Recently introduced to the works of Part, (no idea how to get those 'dots' above the a), Shostakovitch, Suk and Ligeti, but I usually have to listen to the last with anti-depression pills very close.

I am really like a clean slate and whilst I know what I like, I have no real knowledge of this genre of music.

Yes, it's a standard procedure. You will gain full access to your profile once you've made at least 10 posts and 12 hours elapsed since that last posting.

Gol'darn it!

Where has he gone, Mike?

He has some controversial views as I'm certain you are aware, but he is certainly a skilful debater and I did so want to read more.

Can you direct?

Actually Robert Newman had a point regarding Mozart and I personally would not rubbish all of his ideas.

I thought I've been a little lonely around here lately,
but I must have missed something here.
Probably wasn't just musical.

Robert Newman was banned from this site in February 2009 and from our sister site, Talk Classical, the year before that. He was also banned from numerous other music discussion sites as well. As to his whereabouts in the current year, we do not know, nor do I (personally) care .

From his profile page you might be able to peruse through his postings.
