Our PM is of a similar ilk , we have raised enough signatures for a referendum (against asset sales) and one will be held but he has said it is a waste of time as the government will ignore it.

Well hopefully we all know what will happen to him at the next election. We have an election for EU places next year and I expect to see a lot of UKIP (anti EU) being elected. That might shake up the goverment.

I have two choices The National Party = sell assets to get some quick money. The Labour Party = borough money from overseas to get the std of living we want of course you then have to pay back + interest so you see teddy it is Hobsons choice, so for the first time in my life I may not vote at all.

Guess who will be building our new atomic power stations? Yes, thats right. The French and the Chinese!!! Obvious really.

The Liberal government of Ontario cancelled a nuclear power plant, as it was being built, to appease local voters.
It cost $1.2 billion to cancel.
All locals everywhere don't want wind blades, a very contentious issue as offshore providers provide,
while Ontario is an energy exporter and the start of conservation would lower demand.

The Chinese are going to help us build three nuclear power stations, on similar lines th the French one, which suffers from technical problems. The price of the electricity they produce has already been agreed. More expensive than coal fired or gas turbine generated. We have the technology and the workers to build them ourselves but...............

I hear that next they are going to give us lesson on egg sucking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should build one next to the Houses of Parliament, I do hope they are more reliable than most of what comes out of China.

Chinese exports are very reliable.
They always sell for less than local production.
The big thing about plastic when it first came out,
way before they were able to be transparent with clear plastic,
was that is was bendable and unbreakable.
Now they're making plastic that shatters like glass.

and... and... I'm also not ashamed to include egg-sucking in my bike-hike repertoire.
Except that I'm sucking on the eggs of migrating arctic Trumpeter swans,
a nice addition to my vocal DNA.
They are hard to get to, when those hummingbirds keep trying to drop nectar on my tongue.
It does get meditative out there, looking over bikini legs more than eggs.

Hey! I had to edit. I just had a Nuclear Organ for World Peace, mutated psychic flash,
from the future.
I see that mankind turned to wave powered electrical generators, even powering outer space.
Too bad absorbing all that oceanic energy made the entire ocean become still,
no more currents of any kind.
Even Jimi Hendrix is singing about the echoes of ocean currents from long ago,
in the next life,
when he said to us that the ocean is the biggest living thing on the planet.
We all bear witness to our divine obligation to work for the preservation of all life on earth.
Just sayin'.

Within the next year or so we have been promised a vote on whether to stay in the EU (originally promised five years ago). Unfortunately there is a lot of bias involved. The latest scam is that the EU is forcing all British farmers to erect a large billboard advertising the EU, or lose their grants and repay anything they already receive. Some of these billboard are several feet long and must be prominently displayed where the public can see them.
Nice to know that this is going to be a fair and unbiased campaign, :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Don't worry teddy the UK and NZ maybe entering a trade deal  this is after you threw us out when you entered the EU, I don't forget these things  we threw out all subsidies shortly afterwards so our producers were all by themselves, the process was very hard on the Farmers who had up until then taken it for granted but suddenly had to be business savy. I don't think there are many countries that don't have primary produce subsidies.

Oh no! Here in Ontario farmers make the least profit from their produce.
The first day in office, the N.D.P. government of Bob Rae, who went back to his Liberal family,
passed a lot of legislation.
The one third of pop and drink bottles that had to be recycled. Not any more.
Female strippers could be totally nude for the first time, and walk offstage. No touching.
Lap dancing, but no touching. Private V.I.P. rooms, but no touching.

Business vehicles used to need a name, phone number and truck registration number,
to be legal on the road. Three sign-painters by the Niagara Falls bridges were busy,
making American vehicles conform. Bob Rae stopped that,
and American farmers could sell in Canada without identifying themselves.
They dump American produce from New York to Florida to California,
when it's harvest time here, forcing farmers to immediately lower to half price.
He made the "split pit" peach policy so less Canadian peaches could be processed,
or sold as peaches.
When Pierre Trudeau changed Canada to metric, diesel fuel, half the cost of gasoline,
suddenly became the same price.
American truckers, with American diesel prices, took over border hauling,
and most Canadians live along the border.

Americans keep acting as if it's a jungle out there, even if they are just forested.

We can no longer buy duty free when we travel to France as the EU has deemed it is not far enough away. This has wrecked the local ferry trade and lots of shops in Calais have shut down. However if you work for the EU you can buy goods duty free. You couldn't make it up.
