Spectacular to watch from a distance, but not nice to be underneath

Yes, we are OK as we are on mains supply for water but a little further out they are on tank water which they have to collect from the roof so you don't really want supper phosphate and such like in your drinking water, the other thing that amuses me is all the farm run off that goes into our river such as from top dressing right down to cattle pee and poo this happens for well over 180k to the next city where it goes into their water reservoir He He.

We have had problems with nitrates and phosphates running into the rivers and killing the wildlife. Go organic I say and get rid of the chemicals.

Super phosphate is organic but you don't want it in large amounts. It is remarkable how the Thames recovered just goes to show nature wins in the end. I hope Julia wins and gets rid of that freak Rudd oh oh just had a pop up Kev the Nev won! oh bugger.............

Hope the supper phosphatetasted good - just like fush an chups

I might even need to learn your lingo as Kevin one- Julia nil NZ here I come

When I'm on a long distance bike-hike, sitting along Lake Erie by Fort Erie to Crystal Beach,
I see some strange aircraft coming in low over the lake, turning over the Niagara River,
towards the American air force base in Niagara Falls.
And I type aircraft because they are flying through the air.
This is more exiting than cool and dewy black cherries that pop in your mouth, on top of Fonthill.

In the dark, I do see some strange looking aircraft, one looking like a big cube with two smaller cubes on the sides,
with a big circle of orange glowing at the back of each, totally silent.
Coming at me over the river, I saw what looked like a four engine jet airliner, the body lit up with lights off the wings.
It suddenly flipped to be flying sideways with the bottom facing me, then flipped to be flying back into the States.
The worst was this slow jet fighter flying along the bottom of the gorge when I was down there.
The noise and air pressure hurt my chest, almost making it hard to breathe.

U.F.O.'s make strange sightings.
I could be in a city where everyone was talking about a U.F.O. they saw in the sky or on the ground,
even saying the light made them feel good, or feel love, but days later everyone forgot.
I've seen some shapes without trails going across the sky, not meteorites or asteroids.

Right now, the big airplane news in Toronto is feces falling on property, described as covering a driveway, rooftop or yard.

Those aliens have never come to visit me.
Are you familiar with, or can you imagine,
the custom war weapons the United States makes to use overseas?

It has been announced that in two years time there will be electricity rationing, including industry. Just what we need when we are trying to get the country back on its feet. The answer? Move to Chine where there are plenty of coal fired power stations being built.

Why are we giving foreign aid to so many countries that are better off than we are. Countries like India which have their own space program, which we can only dream about. Answers on a stamp please.

[h=2]Scores of twitchers flocked to the Outer Hebrides to see a bird that has been recorded just eight times previously in the UK in nearly 170 years - only to see it slain by a wind turbine. The White-throated Needletail - the world's fastest flying bird - was thousands of miles off course after turning up at Tarbert on the Isle of Harris.

It was first seen by two bird spotters from Northumberland on Monday.

There has not been a sighting of the species in Britain since 1991 when a single bird was seen four times - in Kent, Staffordshire, Derbyshire and finally Shetland.

Now 22 years later another White-throated Needletail turned up in the UK, but after more than 80 twitchers flocked to Harris - with scores more on their way - the bird flew into a wind turbine at Tarbert, witnessed by around 40 people.

Josh Jones of Bird Guides said: "It was seen by birders fly straight into the turbine. It is ironic that after waiting so long for this bird to turn up in the UK, it was killed by a wind turbine and not a natural predator.

I believe it is to do with the sub sonics disturbing the birds navigation system. Quite a lot are killed by the wind turbines. Another reason to get rid of them.

We are spending £90,000,000 on cycle lanes. Only about half the cyclists use the ones we have, including the expensive Ramsgate to Phizers lane which was completed one year before they shut. Can't help feeling the money would have been better spent elsewhere, especially when you consider the weather in this country.

We seem to be going down the same path but our our roads are too twisty and narrow to accommodate goons on bikes.
