    Bit of nostalgia

Eight pics by Bert Hardy from '40s and '50s, first one is quite famous (among photographers at least!)

    Cheers MIKE.

He used to work a lot for Picture Post (probably before your time when that folded!) He used a second hand Leica.
    Cheers MIKE.

I thoroughly love to rummage through B/W photographs ... they are often much sharper and clearer than their colour counterparts.
Relished the time I spent working in a museum where we had B/W photos of the mining days and days of the railroad.

In Russia we have a trio like the three stooges - they're called "Самагончики" - So yes, if I'm feeling a bit nostalgic then I'll fire up the laptop and indulge in funny comedy and slapstick...Check the posted link below:

That first picture must be one of the most famous in the country Mike. I read an article last year by one of the girls in the photo. Some interesting insights into her day.

I have just treated myself to some new socks. £6.00 for seven pairs. It will save me a fortune in black ink.

I think my paternal grandfather must have been an illegal alien then, he worked in a Bradford clothing mill.
