• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

GO 1306 x64 crashing after loading a set

Hi,
As the title says, I installed latest 1306 x64 and loaded my Donat 1700 set (see the thread here) which loads fast in a few secs, as usual with all previous GO builds and it's good for testing fast new GO builds.
This time it surprised me as immediately after set was loaded GO 1306 crashed (went white first showing the background image of the set but not showing the controls on top).
It crashed in the same way when I tried to go File>open>documents ... couldn't select anything as it crashed fast.

Not so, on some other very old sets like the HW1 Clavecimbel3 (! ?) which loaded OK and played on OK. > from desktop shortcuts, not from open file.
Also all clear and smooth on my Test Wet set on the organ I'm workin' lately.
All corrected (except my test wet) sets opening OK with 1289 cannot go further than load and then crash with 1306.

I'm returning to 1289 .
I think you know already my OS : win7 x64 Intel T4400 dual core 2.2GHz, 4096MB ram, RealTek soundcard with Asio4all driver.

Any ideas ? Does anybody else had the same issues ? or is it my OS ?

I had the exact same problem. I posted the details in the ODF best practices thread (post number 20).

OK thank you guys ! So, I'm fine with my OS :)
Now I just see on SF 1289 is back, 1306 withdrawn.
Let's wait for the next test build !!
Best

rev 1301 is the issue (organ name in title bar)
I removed the corresponding code and compiled up to rev 1308.

I just upgraded my laptop and had to rebuild the environment to build GO.
I don't have the environment required for help and translation to multiple languages.

Just finished recreating my Windows build environment with help and languages.

Rebuilt ver 1309 and loaded on GO SF.

I have downloaded and installed rev 1309. Everything seems to be working as expected, although I haven't had much time to test yet. Organ's load fine and the organ name shows up in the title bar. I'm about to sit down to do some playing, unless I write back again, everything is running fine.
